If one of the
significators of the partnership is strong and the other is weak the success of
partnership becomes conditional; the conditions which should attend a
beneficial and successful partnership are various and they vary from one person
to another.

We shall reproduce two
horoscopes representing persons designed for an independent occupation and a
business career. They are among the horoscopes which were prepared and adjudged
by the author during his practice of this wonderful science of Astrology. They
are fully worked out. To illustrate the theory and to make the reader grasp the
underlying principles we shall examine in details the Lagna, the Chandra (Moon)
and the four planetary significators of the occupation to measure the
potentially thereof and we shall scrutinize the horoscopes on the whole to
ascertain the presence therein of any of the planetary combinations and
patterns which indicate the independent occupation or the business career the
person concerned is designed for.

The Lagna, i.e., the 1st
house contains the Surya (Sun) which attains its exaltation therein. The Surya
(Sun) rules the 5th house from the Lagna; The Buddha (Mercury) is in
the Lagna and the Buddha is deemed strong in the Lagna. The Buddha is not weak
by sign and the Buddha is the lord of the Chandra-lagna. The Guru (Jupiter),
the lord of the 9th house from the Lagna, fully aspects the Lagna,
the Surya and the Buddha and the Guru occupies its own Nakshatra.

The Mangal (Mars), the
lord of the 1st house, however, is in its enemy’s house. And the
Guru (Jupiter) aspecting fully the Lagna owns the 12th house; but
from the Chandra-lagna the house owned by the Mangal, the lord of the Lagna,
are the 6th and the 11th houses which are the Upachaya
houses and are deemed good; the houses owned by the Guru as counted from the
Chandra-lagna arer Kendras.

In the Navamsa chart the
Mangal is in its own house and the Guru is conjoined by its dispositor. The 1st
house in the Navamsa chart is not weak. The 1st house in the Navamsa
chart contains the Surya which is not weak by sign. The 1st house in
the Navamsa chart is surrounded by Malefics but the surrounding houses exchange
their lords and thereby gain in strength. Again the lord of the 1st
house is fully aspected by its dispositor Mangal.

Thus the Lagna is strong.
We study the
Chandra-lagna. The Guru fully aspects the Chandra and consequently the
Chandra-lagna. The Chandra is aspected fully by the Shani, but the Shani rules
the 10th and the 11th houses from the Lagna and these
houses acknowledge the Shani as their nature lord. The Shani owns the 8th
and the 9th houses from the Chandra-lagna. Again the Shani is fully
aspected by an exalted Shukra (Venus). The Chandra is surrounded on one side by
the Mangal and the Chandra gains in strength even if it is surrounded even by a
Malefic; the Mangal in this specific case happens to own the Lagna. The Chandra
enjoys the two-third of a very beneficial Yoga having two Benefics, the Shukra
and the Buddha, in the 10th and the 11th houses from the
Chandra. In this case the Shukra happens to be an accidental Malefic by its
ownership of the two Maraka, houses, the 2nd and the 7th
houses from the Lagna, but it loses much of its vicious nature and
characteristic by its being in its sign of exaltation. Also the Chandra is
waxing, i.e. it is moving away from the Surya and gaining in size and strength.

In the Navamsa chart the
Chandra is not weak although therein it is waning, i.e., it is moving towards
the Surya (Sun) and it is diminishing in size.
