Drainage and pipe lines
Drainages are built to flush out rainy water from the house. If the drain is on the Eastern side it is considered auspicious which helps the native in procreation and financial upgrading. The drain towards the North in procreation and financial upgrading. The drain towards the North side is also considered auspicious and helps in business. The drain towards South creates diseases and the drain towards West makes financial losses. Drain of North East is also considered good. The remaining directions are not auspicious.

Stairs
The stairs should never be constructed in North East direction. They are considered auspicious in West or Northern part of the house. While climbing up, the stairs should rotate towards right direction. They should be even in number i.e. if divided by three the remainder should be two. The mains stairs of the house should not start from pooja room, strong room, kitchen or dump house. Round, screw type stairs are considered inauspicious. They create mental imbalance. The stairs should always be repaired.

Waste storage/Lumber Room
South-West is considered best for Waste storage/Lumber Room place. Lumber room is a place in the house where we store old items which are currently of no use to us. These unused items are those which cannot be disposed off either because of its sentimental value or we hope to use it someday in future. On the other hand store room is a place to store items that are being used. For those staying in apartments and flats, finding a separate place to designate as a lumber room may not be possible, those staying in independent bungalows, should definitely have provision for a lumber room in their house. Lumber rooms can have negative and harmful energies therefore sitting, sleeping or eating in it should be avoided.

Now-a-days two or four wheeler has become necessity of every one. To escape the fear of theft people keep their vehicle in the house. Garages can be constructed in the North-West sector. A second choice for garages is the South-East. Avoid your garages or portico in South-West. The garage should not touch the main building and the car should face North or East direction.
