Rudraksha – The Divine Fruit – Part 2

Basic details were discussed about Rudraksha in the earlier write-up. Now, we discuss about each Rudraksha i.e. from one faced (one Mukhi) Rudraksha to fourteen (14 Mukhi) Rudraksha. Mantra for each Rudraksha is also mentioned below and Rudraksha should be worn in red thread after reciting the Mantra for at least eleven times.
Ek Mukhi (One faced) Rudraksha- This is the most beneficial Rudraksha and is considered to be closest to the Lord Shiva. It is generally believed that this Rudraksha represent figures of Shiva Linga, Serpent, Om, Trishul and other auspicious marks. However it is rarely found. The native wearing this Rudraksha is believed to be blessed with more spiritual power and also gets God-gifted intuition. Further, the use of this Rudraksha takes the native more to spiritualism than materialism.

Do Mukhi (Two faced) Rudraksha – This represent the Lord Shiva and Goddess Paravati. The native gets help in concentration of his mind and also increases his spiritual power. It is also believed that pregnant ladies wear around their waist or on the arm and can have safe and easy delivery of the child.

Teen Mukhi (Three faced) Rudraksha – This type of Rudraksha represent fire (Agni) and this serves as a protection from evils, avoid bad luck and make the native ‘lucky’ and is also good for education and wealth.

‘OM REEM HOOM HREEM HOOM OM’
Char Mukhi (4 faced) Rudraksha – This type of Rudraksha represent Lord Brahma. The wearer of this Rudraksha gets good health and also wealth. It I believed that if one boils this Rudraksha in milk and takes the milk for 20 days, the mind id purified and removes all worries.

Panch Mukhi (5 faced) Rudraksha – This speak of pleasing (5 panch) Brahma (5 Brahmins) and the use of this Rudraksha leads to get the blessing of Lord Shinva for success in all walks of life. Not only that, disease keep away form the native. 5 Mukhi Rudraksha are available without difficulty.

Chheh Mukhi (six faced) Rudraksha – Lord Karthika is represented by this Rudraksha. Lord Karthika is also known as Lord Subramanya sons of Lord Shiva and younger brother Lord Ganesha. It is stated that males should wear this in the left arm. This Rudraksha is mainly useful to attain sidhi, success in works that one undertakes and success in business. This Rudraksha also improves intelligence and helps the students in obtaining distinction in the field of his/her education. This Rudraksha also cures hysterias, fainting fits and other diseases of ladies.

‘OM HREEM SHREEM KLEEM SOUM YEM’
Sat Mukhi (7 phased) Rudraksha – The known Sapta-rishis are represented by this Rudraksha and the wearer of this type of Rudraksha and the wearer of this type of Rudraksha gets wealth, respect and also spiritual power. However, normally, it is found that people are not wearing this 7- Mukhi Rudraksha- Reason not known.

Aath Mukhi (8 faced) Rudraksha- This Rudraksha represents Lord Ganesha- the son of Lord Shiva. Wearer of this Rudraksha is blessed with all comforts of life and is particularly for puja. .
MANTRA FOR WEARING THIS RUDRAKSHA:
‘OM HRAM GREEM LM AM SHREE’
Nau Mukhi (9 faced) Rudraksha- Three deities i.e. Bhairon, Yama and Kapil Muni are represented by this Rudraksha. Normally used in Navaratras (wear on left arm) for blessings of Goddess Durga Maa. If the Goddess Durga is pleased, she would bestow wealth, family welfare and fulfils all desires.

‘OM HREEM VAM YAM RUM LAM’
Das Mukhi (10 faced) Rudraksha- This Rudraksha represents Lord Vishnu. Wearer is protected from the evil influence of all planets and soul etc. If this Rudraksha is rubbed on stone with milk and one takes the paste so obtained, severe cough can be cured.
MANTRA FOR WEARING THIS RUDRAKSHA:
‘OM SHREEM HREEM KLEEM GEEM OM’
Gyarah Mukhi (11 faced) Rudraksha – Lord Indra is represented by this Rudraksha and it has strength of eleven deities. If it is kept in a pooja place or cash this safe, enormous wealth starts pouring in. Ladies also use for longevity of their husbands. This Rudraksha is equally helpful for childlessness and also for begetting a son. With continuous worship of Lord Shiv, progeny is ensured.
MANTRA FOR WEARING THIS RUDRAKSHA:
‘OM RUM MUM YUM OM’
Barah Mukhi (12 faced) Rudraksha- Lord Vishnu is represented by this Rudraksha. All comforts of life come to the native by wearing this Rudraksha.
MANTRA FOR WEARING THIS RUDRAKSHA:
‘OM HREEM SHREEM DHRUNI SHREEM’
Tehra Mukhi (13 faced) Rudraksha- This Rudraksha represents Vishva Devas. Wearer may attain salvation (moksha) and has her all desires shall be fulfilled.
Chauda Mukhi (14 faced) Rudraksha- This Rudraksha represent both Lord Shiva and Lord hanuman. All diseases are cured by this. In addition, all comforts of life automatically come. Further, if one takes boiler milk with this Rudraksha for 20 days, all worries can be kept away.

Now, some general information about Lord Shiva, Lord Shiva has thousand names (rather more than that) and Rudra is another name of Lord Shiva. Few of the names are mentioned here: Pushkara, Maheshware, Shrikantha, Bhawana, Amrittapa, Lokakara, Parijata, Dhanurdhara, Jagadguru, Sidha, Satya, ananda, Mahavirya, Ishta and so on.
Hearing and reading of Shiva Purana makes one devotee of Lord Shiva. All sins are forgiven. Lord Shiva may himself appear in the mid of the native if Shiva Puran is recited repeatedly. Further, it is stated that if a person donates the Shiva Purana, specially along with gold and bull, the native may get to live in the Shivaloka.
It is stated in Brihat Samhita that putting an umbrella over tree should be worshipped with garlands, perfumes and clothes. An image of Lord Shiva should be placed under the tree and the hymn called Rudradhyaya chanted repeatedly and only six oblations made to the fire with the sacred expression ‘Heil to Rudras’. Then the king should feed Brahmins with milk porridge, honey and clarified butter. In this way, the evil consequences can be warded off in the interest of public welfare.
