The question posted by the current is about the date of
shifting the residence. The native is already having a house which has been
agreed to be sold and has also agreed, with a separate party to purchase the
house. The planetary position at the time of question was under:
Time of question – 10:05 AM, Date of question – 27.08.1994,
Place – Delhi.
The known principles for shifting of residence are:
(1) New house should
be entered when the Sun is in Uttarayan, and when Jupiter and Venus are
strongly disposes. Entry in the house should be made after necessary worships
are done.
(2) Some opine that ‘Bhootabli’ may also be done. The term
‘Bhootas’ is generally applied to represent the influences of the earth, fire,
water, sky and air and the various compounds called into existence by their
union. In this connection it is pointed out that all intelligent astrologers
should first study the set of physical and spiritual energies. ‘Bhootabali’ is
considered to be special sacrifice which is enjoined upon the native to offer
to ‘Bhootas’ (forces) before entering the new house for safety under the new
roof.
(3) The following
lunar months are considered to be the best for entering into new house
(including shifting to new house):
(a) Vaisakha, (b) Jyestha, (c) Magha and (d) Phalguna
(4) The following lunar months are considered to
be in neutral (middling):
(a) Kritika, (b) Mrigasara
(5) The following lunar days are considered to
be in auspicious:
(a) Dark fortnight
(Krishan Paksha) first day.
(b) Bright fortnight
(Shukla Paksha) - 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 7th, 10th, 11th and 13th of the bright half.
(6) Among the best ruling Nakshtras for the
above purpose are as under:
(a) Rohini, (b) Mirgasara, (c) Uttarashad, (d) Chitra and (e) Uttarbhadra
One of the principles laid down says that entry into New
house should not be done when the wife in advanced stage of pregnancy, i.e.
(above six months). But, it may not be possible in modern times.
The following
Nakstras are also considered to be permissible:
(a) Anuradha, and (b) Revti
Other constellations (Nakstras should be rejected for the
purposes of entering into new house or shifting to the house.
(7) The following
days of the week are considered auspicious for the above purpose:
- Monday, Wednesday,
Thursday and Friday.
Some writers and astrologers also recommend Saturday but
some of them have given opinion that if you shift to a new house on Saturday,
it increases the risk of ‘frequent’ thefts.
(8) Since getting to the new house is considered
to be permanent, therefore, Mahurtha for the Lagna (Ascendant) should be a
fixed sign i.e. Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquiurus). Common signs (dual) i.e.
Gemini, Virgo, saggitarus and Pisces are considered ordinary and should be
resorted to when Fixed sign time is not suitable or inauspicious otherwise. But
as will note below, we have another principle that the rising sign should
preferably be owned by Jupiter or Venus. Therefore, Saggitarus gets priority
over other common signs in this regards. Movable sign i.e. Aries, Cancer, Libra
and Capricorn should be rejected i.e. should generally be avoided. But, where
Navamsa Lagna is Taurus, a movable sign may be selected.
(9) The most
important point is that the 8th house from Lagna should be vacaut.
(10) Malefics
should be deposited in Upachayas house i.e.
(11) Malefics
should fortify Kendras (Angles) i.e. 1, 4, 7 and 10.
(12) The Moon must
be strongly disposed and the rising sign should preferably be owned by Venus or
Jupiter (benefices).
Form the above principles, it can be summed up that when
entry into a new house is effected under the above combinations, it is said
that the prosperity and long life are conferred on the native. Entry in the new
house in one own Jannma sign (Rasi), Janama Naskshtra or Janama Lagna is also
expected to produce highly beneficial results.
