Dr. Shanker Adawal: A Journey of Leadership, Advocacy, and Compassion!

Dr. Shanker Adawal, born in 1957 into an educated and accomplished family, is a versatile figure whose career spans corporate strategy, astrology, and humanitarian efforts. With a Ph.D. in Economics and an MBA in Marketing Management from Delhi University, he also enhanced his technical proficiency by studying software languages in Singapore. His corporate journey includes notable roles at DCM, Larsen & Toubro, Modi Xerox, Tata Group, and Nortel, culminating in his current position as President of Corporate Affairs at Reliance Industries. Dr. Adawal has been a pivotal part of India’s telecommunications and energy sectors for over 35 years, contributing to the industry’s growth since the liberalization era.

Beyond his corporate achievements, Dr. Adawal is deeply committed to social causes. As the founder and President of Manavadhikar Samajik Manch (MASM), a non-profit organization established in 1997, he has spent over 25 years advocating for human rights and promoting social reform across India. MASM focuses on medical and legal aid, human rights awareness, and research-driven initiatives to foster a just and equitable society.

Dr. Adawal’s passion for astrology began in childhood, influenced by his father's interest in the field. This passion evolved into an extensive pursuit of astrological research over 37 years, resulting in the publication of 18 influential books on the subject. To him, astrology is both a personal journey and a means to offer guidance during times of need.

Further extending his philanthropic endeavors, Dr. Adawal founded an ashram in Vrindavan that supports marginalized communities. The ashram provides housing, basic medical care, and free meals to those in need, embodying his lifelong dedication to uplifting society’s most vulnerable members.
